Exchanges with Japanese citizens

Ibaraki City has established the International Friendship Association of Ibaraki, in order to promote exchanges of friendship with Minneapolis, Minnesota in the USA, and Ānqìng, China. In order to improve exchanges with these overseas cities, and to improve exchanges with foreigners living in Ibaraki City, the Association offers the following activities:

• Gatherings for international exchange (exchanges of friendship between Japanese citizens and foreigners)
• Send the boys' soccer teams to Minneapolis
• Send camping visit teams to Minneapolis
• Send civil friendship teams to Minneapolis
• Receive various visiting teams from Minneapolis and prepare home stays for the visitors
• Judge the Haiku poems sponsored by the Minneapolis Sister City Association
• Send paintings and calligraphic arts to Minneapolis
• Send a visiting civil friendship team to Anqing
• Send junior high school swimming and table tennis teams to Anqing
• Receive various visiting teams from Anqing
• Send paintings and calligraphic arts to Anqing
• Mutual visit with Shodoshima Cho (our domestic sister city)
• Issue the Association's Gazettes

The International Friendship Association of Ibaraki is looking forward to having foreigners who live in Ibaraki City participate in these events and activities.
